Max Heilbron, Communications Strategy Director
After graduating from Stanford University in the year 2000, Max began his career in advertising at Publicis & Hal Riney as a spot broadcast buyer, simply because he didn’t know any better. This turned out to be a horribly boring job.
So after getting laid off following the loss of the Saturn account in 2001, he wound up following that car account to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and moved into the world of media and communication strategy, where he has worked happily ever since.
He's currently a Communication Strategy Director, which is a rather polysyllabic title, and he's worked on almost every account at the agency, including the aforementioned Saturn, Hyundai, Elizabeth Arden, Got Milk, Foster Farms, Quaker Oats, Häagen-Dazs, Dreyer’s, HP, NBA, Comcast, eBay, and Frito Lay.
Hamish Chandra, Brand Strategy Director
Hamish went into college as a premed student and came out with a degree in poetry. He has worked as a food writer, an academic critic of teen TV, and assistant director of avant garde theater. He was introduced to advertising when he researched a book on cult religions and cult brands. Working at Merkley + Partners, he helped the agency win record amounts of new business. He then joined Mad Dogs & Englishmen, where he led strategy for the Atkins brand and consulted with TV channels like Comedy Central, USA, The N, and SciFi in developing their brands and creating original programming. In 2005 he joined GSP and has worked on clients like Comcast, Starbucks, Saturn, Doritos, Rocawear, Hewlett-Packard, Pepsi, and Unilever. He also cofounded and directs the agency's Innovation Lab program. He teaches advertising at the post grad level and serves on the board of the STOP AIDS Project.
