More bridges than any city in the world. Maybe more fish restaurants than any city in the world. Could be more theatres than any city in the world. Perhaps the most museums. And it’s possible there are more houses with red lights in the window than any city in the world. Hamburg is a city of extremes. Great, refined culture next to wild and raunchy pop culture.
That’s a terrific environment for a young creative person who wants to twist and turn what’s happening this minute, no, this second, into crazy and wonderful ideas that become unforgettable despite an audience preoccupied with their iPods and cell phones. So what? Cell phones, iPods, car phones, lap tops, they’re all part of pop culture media.
Pop culture is really your major subject at this school. And the way our students and graduates have mastered this subject may very well have revolutionized European advertising education. Since its inception just a few years ago Miami Ad School Europe has swept the student advertising awards consistently and our graduates are highly sought by the agencies in Germany and the other European countries.
Recently one of our students, Menno Kluin, from Holland, won Student of the Year in Germany, Student of the Year in Holland, Student of the Year in Lürzer Archive magazine and Student of the year at Young Guns in Australia. Menno had his choice of positions when he graduated; he chose Saatchi in New York after his positive experience on his Quarter Away in New York City. Like Menno, our graduates are highly sought by the agencies in Germany and the other European countries. Now, Europe has a school that produces graduates highly trained, ready to go work at an ad agency, able to contribute the first day on the job.
