AWARDS / RECOGNITIONS:
This assignment consisted in selecting a common product that could use a design update and designing and executing an appropriate solution.
I decided to approach the design solution by focusing on the beauty and simplicity of the produce that go into making these candles. I worked with Jeffrey Morgan who photographed the images that I styled. I cut the fruit and set it against a white backdrop. I also included the various spices that go into making the candles. The combination of these elements created beautiful images that I applied to my packaging.
The packaging showcases the varied ingredients that go into making Yankee Candle products. Minimalistic still life photography highlights the beauty of the fruits and spices used. The containers are shaped in such a way that they connect seamlessly when displayed next to each other.
