Pippa Seichrist • Co-Founder and Head of Innovation @ Miami Ad School
In the creative departments of America’s ad agencies, minorities are woefully underrepresented. Advertising campaigns are mostly conceived and produced by groups of people as homogenous as the board of directors of the local country club.
This is not only wrong — it’s just plain stupid and makes no business sense at all. A mostly white-bread industry doesn't know how to reach the multicultural American audience.
So, Miami Ad School has taken matters into our own hands.
We’re pledging—on an annual basis—$200,000 in scholarships for creative minority students to attend Miami Ad School. Now is the perfect time to start your career in Art Direction, Copywriting, Design or Photography and Video. There are 15 tuition scholarships available, five in the amount of $20,000 and ten for $10,000.
We will be accepting applications for 2017 scholarships until November 1, 2016. You must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident to qualify. Winners will be notified two weeks after the application deadline. You may attend school in one of our U.S. locations: Atlanta, Miami, New York or San Francisco. You’ll get all the details when you download the scholarship application. If you have questions just email email@example.com
You—yes, you, reading this right now—can be the solution to advertising’s diversity problem and at the same time make your career dreams come true. You can make the difference. Apply now and get started!
