Mobilizing the Minecraft gaming community to aid relief efforts.
AWARDS / RECOGNITIONS:
Miami Ad School students from our Mumbai location took gaming to a whole new level with their Minecraft Rebuild campaign. After the Nepal Earthquake disaster, students from the copywriting and art direction portfolio programs, thought of an inventive way to approach the relief efforts by using Minecraft as a platform.
Here is how it works, after a players Minecraft world was shattered by a simulated earthquake, gamers were encouraged to make small in-game purchases in order to rebuild their world. All these purchases would then be donated to the relief efforts. Thus a connection was made between virtual charity and actual results.
Founded in 1993, Miami Ad School has grown to a network of 16 advertising schools in 10 different countries. Through the school’s partnerships with dozens of agencies and companies, students have the opportunity to intern and get real-world experience while they are still in school. Our creative and practical approach to training has made our students the most awarded on the planet.
